Hoofdstuk 71 telt in het Amerikaanse douanetarief (HTSUS) 108 tariefregels, verdeeld over 18 posten.
De tarieven lopen van 0% tot 13,5% (gemiddeld 3%); 49 tariefregels hebben een tarief van 0%.
De meeste tariefregels, 15, vallen onder post 7113 (‘Bijouterieën en juwelen, alsmede delen daarvan, van edele metalen of…’).
Het meest voorkomende tarief is 0% (vrij van invoerrecht), bij 49 tariefregels.
Het hoogste tarief, 13,5%, geldt voor 7113.11.20 (‘Valued not over $18 per dozen pieces or parts’).
