Tarifbase API

A free, read-only JSON API over the same data as the site: HS codes, four national tariffs, duty rates and measures. No key is needed.

One national tariff line

EU CN8, UK 10-digit, US HTS 8-digit or Turkish 12-digit line (tariff = eu, gb, us, tr): description, duty, free flag and — for the EU and the UK — the measures in force (preferences, anti-dumping, quotas, controls) with their legal act and validity.

GET /api/v1/code.json?tariff=eu&code=87120030&lang=en

One HS heading or subheading

The HS chapter, heading or subheading text in any of the 23 languages, its short everyday label and the page URL.

GET /api/v1/hs.json?code=871200&lang=de

Search

Up to 20 HS subheadings matching a product name, best first.

GET /api/v1/search.json?q=bicycle&lang=en

National lines as CSV

Every line of one tariff under an HS chapter, heading or subheading, with description, duty and URL, as a UTF-8 CSV file.

GET /api/lines.csv?tariff=eu&code=8712&lang=fr

MCP server for AI assistants

A Model Context Protocol endpoint (JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP POST) with three tools: search_hs_codes, get_hs_code and get_import_duty (rate, basis and additional measures for a tariff line and an origin). Add https://tarifbase.com/mcp as a remote MCP server in your assistant.

GET /mcp

Rule changes per code as RSS

The customs acts that cite one HS heading or subheading, newest first.

GET /rss/code-en-871200.xml

Rule changes as RSS

The 100 newest customs and trade acts (EU Official Journal, US Federal Register, UK, Resmî Gazete), one feed per language.

GET /rss/changes-en.xml
