Sanctions list screening

Type the name of a customer, supplier, carrier or vessel. It is compared with 57,966 entries on 19 lists published by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and Türkiye, including every alias the authorities give.

Names are matched loosely: word order, accents, transliteration from Cyrillic and Greek, legal forms such as "LLC" or "GmbH" and small spelling differences do not hide a match. Each result shows its score, the list, the programme and the official record to check it against. The lists were last checked on 22 October 2026.

Questions and answers

Which sanctions lists are screened?

The UN Security Council consolidated list, the EU consolidated financial sanctions list, the UK Sanctions List, the OFAC SDN and non-SDN lists, the US Commerce lists (Entity List, Denied Persons, Unverified, Military End-User), the State Department ITAR debarred and nonproliferation lists, Switzerland’s SECO list, Canada’s SEMA and listed terrorist entities, Japan’s asset-freeze list and the four asset-freezing lists of Türkiye (MASAK).

How often are the lists updated?

Every list is downloaded from its publisher every day. The table of lists shows the date of the last change in each file and when it was last checked.

What does the match score mean?

It measures how close the name you typed is to a listed name or alias, word by word and regardless of word order, from 0 to 100. A score of 100 is an exact match after accents and legal forms are removed; around 85 usually means a spelling variant. Lower the minimum to see more distant variants.

Is a match proof that a company or person is sanctioned?

No. Many people share names. Compare the details of the official record — date of birth, nationality, address, registration numbers — before you decide, and consult the competent authority or a lawyer in case of doubt.

Are my searches stored?

No. The name is only used to compute the results page, which is not stored or indexed.
