Low-value consignment
Also called: LVC · small parcel · düşük kıymetli gönderi
A shipment, typically an e-commerce parcel, whose value falls below a threshold that triggers special tax or customs rules. In the EU and UK, VAT on such goods is normally charged at the point of sale through IOSS or by the online seller, and simplified declarations with reduced data sets may be used.
In practice
Marketplaces and sellers are increasingly liable for collecting tax on low-value goods, so checkout systems must calculate it correctly.
