1. Voor de toepassing van onderverdeling 846520 worden onder „bewerkingscentra” uitsluitend verstaan: de gereedschapswerktuigen voor het bewerken van hout, van kurk, van been, van geharde rubber, van harde kunststof en van dergelijke harde stoffen waarmee bewerkingen van verschillende aard kunnen worden uitgevoerd met gebruikmaking van automatische gereedschapswisseling vanuit een magazijn, volgens een bewerkingsprogramma.
2. Voor de toepassing van onderverdeling 847149 wordt onder „systemen” verstaan automatische gegevensverwerkende machines waarvan de eenheden voldoen aan de voorwaarden opgenomen in aantekening 6, onder C, op hoofdstuk 84 en die ten minste een centrale verwerkingseenheid, een invoereenheid (bijvoorbeeld een toetsenbord of een aftaster) en een uitvoereenheid (bijvoorbeeld een eenheid voor visuele presentatie of een afdrukker) bevatten.
3. Voor de toepassing van onderverdeling 848120 wordt onder „kleppen voor oleohydraulische of pneumatische overbrenging” verstaan: de kleppen die specifiek worden gebruikt voor de overdracht van druk in een hydraulisch of pneumatisch systeem, waarbij de energiebron wordt geleverd in de vorm van persvloeistoffen (vloeibaar of gasvormig). Het kan kleppen van elke soort betreffen (bijvoorbeeld reduceerventielen of overloopkleppen). Onderverdeling 848120 heeft voorrang op alle andere onderverdelingen van post 8481.
4. Onderverdeling 848240 omvat uitsluitend lagers voorzien van rollen met op alle plaatsen een gelijke diameter van niet meer dan 5 mm en met een lengte van ten minste driemaal de diameter. De uiteinden van de rollen mogen zijn afgerond.
Goederencode 8481 80 11 10 is een tariefregel van het Britse douanetarief onder HS-onderverdeling 8481.80 (‘Kranen en dergelijke artikelen: andere artikelen’).
Het derdelandenrecht bedraagt 2%.
Voor goederen uit 174 landen geldt in het Verenigd Koninkrijk geen invoerrecht dankzij handelsakkoorden en preferentiële regelingen zoals DCTS Comprehensive en Europese Unie; het derdelandenrecht bedraagt 2%.
Het Verenigd Koninkrijk heft op goederen van oorsprong uit Belarus en Rusland bovenop het douanerecht een aanvullend recht van 35%.
Van september 2025 tot en met augustus 2026 bedroeg de invoer van goederen van HS-onderverdeling 8481.80 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk £ 1,9 mld. (+2% ten opzichte van de twaalf maanden daarvoor); de grootste leverancier was de Verenigde Staten met 24% van de invoer, gevolgd door China.
