DDP
Also called: delivered duty paid
The Incoterms rule placing the most obligation on the seller: the seller delivers goods cleared for import at the named destination and bears all costs, including duties and import taxes. The seller effectively acts as, or appoints, the importer.
In practice
Sellers offering DDP must be able to act as importer, register for import VAT and recover it, which is not possible in every country without a local entity or representative.
