Export declaration

Also called: export procedure · ihracat beyannamesi · EAD

The declaration placing goods under the export procedure so they can leave the customs territory. In the EU it is lodged at the customs office where the exporter is established and confirmed at the office of exit, and the exit confirmation proves the goods left. Türkiye processes export declarations electronically in BİLGE.

In practice

The electronic exit confirmation is the evidence needed for zero-rated VAT on exports, so missing confirmations create VAT exposure.
