OFAC SDN List
Also called: Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List · SDN
A list published by the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control of individuals and entities whose assets are blocked and with whom US persons generally may not deal. Entities owned 50 percent or more by listed persons are treated as blocked even if not named.
In practice
Payments in US dollars involving a listed party can be frozen by banks, so non-US traders also screen against the SDN list.
