DAP (Delivered at Place)

Also called: Delivered at Place

An Incoterms rule under which the seller bears the cost and risk of bringing the goods to the named place of destination, ready for unloading from the arriving means of transport. The buyer is responsible for import clearance, duties and unloading.

In practice

DAP sales often stall at the border if the buyer is not ready to act as importer, so import responsibilities should be agreed beforehand.
