DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded)
Also called: Delivered at Place Unloaded · formerly DAT
An Incoterms rule under which the seller delivers the goods once unloaded at the named place of destination, bearing the risk and cost up to and including unloading. It replaced DAT in Incoterms 2020 and is the only rule requiring the seller to unload at destination. Import clearance remains the buyer's task.
In practice
Sellers should only agree to DPU if they can arrange unloading at the destination, which may involve local equipment and labour.
