IPAFFS
Also called: Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System
The UK system used to pre-notify imports of live animals, animal products, high-risk food and feed, and plants and plant products into Great Britain. Importers or their agents submit the notification before arrival, and border control posts use it to plan checks.
In practice
Late or missing IPAFFS notifications are a common cause of delays at British border control posts.
