Single Administrative Document

Also called: SAD · C88 · tek idari belge

The standard data structure for customs declarations used historically in the EU, the common transit countries and Türkiye, with numbered boxes for each data element. Under the UCC the paper form has largely been replaced by electronic data sets, but the box numbering is still widely used as a reference.

In practice

Brokers and officials still refer to data by box numbers such as box 33 for the commodity code, so knowing the layout speeds up communication.
