Arrival notification
Also called: notification of arrival
Information given to customs by the operator of the means of transport that a vessel, aircraft or vehicle has arrived in the customs territory. It links the arrival to earlier entry summary declarations and triggers the steps leading to presentation and temporary storage.
In practice
A missing or late arrival notification can hold up the presentation and clearance of every consignment on board.
