Customs office of entry
Also called: office of first entry · giriş gümrük idaresi
The customs office competent for the place where goods are brought into the customs territory. It receives arrival information, performs safety and security checks based on the entry summary declaration and can order controls before goods move inland.
In practice
Advance cargo data is risk-assessed in relation to the office of entry, so a wrong office code can delay the shipment.
