About the Japan tariff

Japan’s tariff schedule (実行関税率表, Customs Tariff Schedules of Japan) is published by Japan Customs in Japanese and English; the English text is for reference only. Codes have 9 digits: the statistical code used in the import declaration.

For each line the page shows the general, temporary and WTO rates, the GSP and LDC rates and the rates under Japan’s economic partnership agreements, among them the CPTPP, RCEP and the agreements with the EU, the UK, the United States and ASEAN. Trade remedies, quotas and consumption tax are not included. The schedule is revised several times a year and published under the Public Data License 1.0.
