GTİP
Also called: Gümrük Tarife İstatistik Pozisyonu · Turkish tariff statistical position
The twelve-digit code of the Turkish customs tariff. The first six digits follow the HS, digits seven and eight follow the EU Combined Nomenclature because of the customs union, and the last four are national subdivisions. GTİP codes are published in the Turkish Customs Tariff Schedule and used in every Turkish customs declaration.
In practice
Turkish duty rates, additional duties, surveillance and conformity checks all attach to the full twelve-digit GTİP, so an EU CN code alone is not enough for import into Türkiye.
