Tariff line

Also called: national tariff line · national subdivision

The most detailed code in a national or regional tariff at which a duty rate or measure is set, such as an eight-digit CN code, a ten-digit TARIC or HTS code, or a twelve-digit Turkish GTİP. Tariff lines extend the six-digit HS code with country-specific splits.

In practice

Duty, quotas, licences and statistics attach to the tariff line, so the declaration must carry the full national code, not just the HS six digits.
