Additional customs duty (İGV)
Also called: İlave Gümrük Vergisi · İGV
An extra duty levied by Türkiye under the Import Regime Decree on many products from countries outside the EU, EFTA and its FTA partners. It is listed by GTİP and country group in annexes to the decree and is added to the normal customs duty.
In practice
Goods from Asia and the Americas often pay İGV that suppliers in the EU or FTA countries avoid, so origin and proof of origin can change the cost picture dramatically.
