Administrative review (AD/CVD)
Also called: annual review · AR
The periodic review in which the US Department of Commerce calculates the final anti-dumping or countervailing duties owed on entries made during a past period, usually one year, and sets new cash deposit rates. It is opened on request in the anniversary month of the order.
In practice
Final AD/CVD liability can differ greatly from the deposit paid at entry, so importers carry financial risk until the review ends.
