Air waybill
Also called: AWB · MAWB · HAWB · hava yolu konşimentosu
The transport document for air freight, issued by the airline or a forwarder, that serves as receipt and contract of carriage. It is not a document of title. Consolidated shipments use a master air waybill from the airline and house air waybills from the forwarder.
In practice
The air waybill number is the main reference for tracking and for customs filings on air shipments, including pre-loading security data.
