Certificate of analysis
Also called: CoA · analysis report
A document issued by a laboratory or the producer that reports the results of tests on a product, such as chemical composition, purity or contaminant levels. Customs uses it to verify classification, for example for chemicals, foodstuffs or alloys, and regulators use it for compliance checks.
In practice
Classification of chemicals and food products often depends on composition data, so a current CoA should accompany shipments.
