Consumption entry (Type 01)
Also called: formal entry · entry type 01
The standard US formal entry for goods imported for consumption that are not subject to special programmes such as quota or AD/CVD, filed with CBP and backed by a customs bond. Duties are deposited with the entry summary and finalised at liquidation.
In practice
Most commercial imports above the informal entry limit are filed as Type 01, so the entry type should be checked against AD/CVD or quota coverage.
