Delivery order
Also called: D/O · ordino
A document issued by a carrier or its agent, after freight and charges are settled and the bill of lading is surrendered, authorising the terminal or warehouse to release cargo to the named party. It is often needed together with customs release before goods can leave the port.
In practice
Even with customs release, goods cannot be collected without a delivery order, so commercial and customs steps must be coordinated.
