Lacey Act declaration
Also called: PPQ Form 505 · plant product declaration
A declaration required for imports of many plants and plant products into the US, including wood and some paper and furniture items, stating the genus, species, country of harvest, value and quantity of plant material. It supports the Lacey Act's ban on trade in illegally harvested plants.
In practice
Products containing wood often need a declaration even if wood is a minor component, so bill-of-materials data should identify species.
