Provisional duty
Also called: provisional anti-dumping duty · geçici önlem
A duty imposed during a trade remedy investigation, after a preliminary finding of dumping or subsidy and injury, to prevent further harm while the investigation continues. It is usually collected as a guarantee and later converted into definitive duty or released.
In practice
Imports arriving during the provisional phase may end up paying definitive duty, so contracts signed during investigations should share that risk.
