Registration of imports
Also called: import registration · kayıt altına alma
A measure under which customs records imports of a product under investigation so that duties can later be applied retroactively to those imports if legal conditions are met. In the EU it is often introduced in anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and anti-circumvention proceedings.
In practice
Registration signals a real risk of retroactive duty, so importers should provision for it in landed cost.
