Revised Kyoto Convention
Also called: RKC · International Convention on the Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures
The WCO convention setting standards for simple, predictable and efficient customs procedures, revised in 1999 and in force since 2006. Its General Annex covers core principles such as risk management, use of IT and appeals, while specific annexes deal with individual procedures.
In practice
Many national customs laws, including the UCC, reflect RKC principles, which helps when comparing procedures between countries.
