Customs risk management
Also called: risk analysis · targeting · risk yönetimi
The systematic identification and assessment of risks, such as revenue loss, safety threats or prohibited goods, used by customs to decide which shipments to check. It combines electronic profiles, intelligence and trader history, and applies to advance cargo data as well as declarations.
In practice
Consistent, accurate data and a good compliance record lower the chance of selection for checks.
