Transaction value
Also called: first method of valuation · işlem değeri
The price actually paid or payable for goods when sold for export to the importing country, adjusted for items such as commissions, packing, assists, royalties and transport costs as the law requires. It can only be used when there is a genuine sale, no unacceptable restrictions, and any relationship between the parties has not influenced the price.
In practice
Most goods are valued this way, and audits concentrate on whether all payments to the seller, including those made outside the invoice, were included.
