Union general export authorisation

Also called: EU GEA · EU001

A pre-set export authorisation in the EU dual-use regulation that allows exports of certain listed items to specified destinations under stated conditions, without an individual licence. Exporters usually need to register before first use and keep records and report as required.

In practice

Using a general authorisation is quicker than applying for an individual licence, but its destination and item limits must be checked for each shipment.
