Lesser duty rule
Also called: LDR · düşük vergi kuralı
A practice under which anti-dumping or countervailing duty is set at the lower of the dumping or subsidy margin and the injury margin, if the lower amount is enough to remove injury. The EU applies it with exceptions, for example where raw material distortions exist, and the US does not apply it.
In practice
Exporters in EU cases can benefit from the rule, so injury calculations deserve as much attention as dumping calculations.
