Prescribed itinerary
Also called: route
A route that customs requires a transit movement to follow, usually for high-risk goods or where the guarantee or sealing conditions call for closer supervision. Deviating from it is allowed only for force majeure or with customs approval.
In practice
Hauliers should plan routes in line with the itinerary, since unexplained deviations can be treated as removal from customs supervision.
