Licence-managed quota
Also called: import licence quota · kontenjan belgesi
A tariff quota in which access to the reduced duty is granted through import licences or certificates, allocated to applicants in advance, rather than by order of declaration. It is common for agricultural products and certain sensitive goods.
In practice
Without a quota licence or certificate the full duty is charged even if quota volume remains unused.
