TARIC additional code

Also called: additional code

A four-character code entered alongside the TARIC code when a measure depends on something other than the product itself, for example the producing company in anti-dumping cases or the composition of processed agricultural goods. Additional codes are listed in TARIC with the measure they trigger.

In practice

Using the wrong additional code, especially a company-specific anti-dumping code, can multiply the duty due or lead to recovery after clearance.

Applies to: EU
