Acceptance of the declaration
Also called: beyannamenin tescili · registration of the declaration
The moment customs accepts a lodged declaration that contains the required data and documents, usually when the system issues a movement reference number. In principle the rules, rates and exchange rate in force on that date apply to the goods.
In practice
Timing acceptance around a tariff change or exchange-rate update can change the duty owed, so the acceptance date must be checked.
