EU–UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement
Also called: TCA
The agreement governing trade between the EU and the UK since the end of the Brexit transition period on 1 January 2021. It provides zero tariffs and quotas for goods that meet its rules of origin, but customs formalities, checks and origin proofs apply.
In practice
Zero tariffs under the TCA only apply to originating goods, so goods merely moved through the UK or EU usually pay full duty.
