Pre-loading advance cargo information

Also called: PLACI · do not load

A minimum data set filed before goods are loaded on an aircraft bound for the customs territory, so that customs can screen air cargo for aviation security threats. Under ICS2 the EU can respond with a referral for more information or screening, or in extreme cases a do-not-load message.

In practice

Express operators and forwarders must capture shipper and consignee data early, or cargo can miss its flight.
