T1 and T2 transit

Also called: T1 · T2 · T2F

Codes identifying the type of transit declaration. T1 is used for non-Union goods moving under suspension of duties; T2 is used for Union goods moving through a common transit country while keeping their status. T2F relates to movements to or from special fiscal territories.

In practice

Choosing T1 instead of T2 for Union goods can mean they arrive as non-Union goods and attract duty they should not owe.
