Im türkischen Zolltarif ist Unterposition 8501.31 in 4 Tarifpositionen unterteilt; der gesetzliche Zollsatz (Gesetz Nr. 474) liegt zwischen 0 % und 2,7 %. Bei 2 davon beträgt der Satz 0 %.

Waren aus 152 Ländern können zollfrei in die EU eingeführt werden, und zwar aufgrund von Handelsabkommen und Präferenzregelungen (etwa GSP-EBA und CARIFORUM); der Drittlandszollsatz beträgt 2,7 %.

Von September 2025 bis August 2026 beliefen sich die Einfuhren dieser Waren in die EU auf 2,1 Mrd. € (+3 % gegenüber den zwölf Monaten davor); wichtigstes Lieferland war China mit einem Anteil von 53 %, gefolgt von Serbien.

2024 wurden weltweit diese Waren im Wert von 14 Mrd. $ exportiert (−2 % gegenüber dem Vorjahr).

China lag mit 3,9 Mrd. $ an der Spitze der Exportländer, vor Deutschland.
