REX

Also called: Registered Exporter system · Kayıtlı İhracatçı

An EU electronic register of exporters allowed to make statements on origin. It is mandatory for exporters in GSP beneficiary countries and is used under several EU agreements, such as with Canada, Japan and Vietnam, for consignments above a value threshold. Türkiye also relies on REX statements under its own GSP.

In practice

A statement on origin quoting a REX number replaces certificates for most GSP imports, so importers should check the number is valid in the public REX database.
