Sufficient processing

Also called: sufficient working or processing · yeterli işçilik

The degree of working that non-originating materials must undergo for the final product to gain preferential origin. Agreements express it through product-specific rules such as a change of tariff heading, a maximum share of non-originating materials or a specific process. Minimal operations such as packing, labelling or simple assembly never confer origin.

In practice

Origin calculations must be run product by product against the exact rule in the relevant agreement, as rules for the same product differ between agreements.
